Aryll

Aryll is Link's joyfull younger sister. She is fascinated by the sea, and even moreso by the gulls that inhabit it. When Aryll is kidnapped, Link sets out on an epic quest to save her, and sets in motion a chain of events that lead to the full release of evil.

Beedle

Beedle is the owner of the Shop Ship, a small boat that circles around several of the islands on the Great Sea. The items Beedle sells differ from place to place, but most items are shared between locations. Once you have the Beedle Map, locate Super Beedle to have your chance at purchasing one of three one-of-a-kind items.

Ganon

Ganon is Link's evil nemesis. Link briefly meets Ganondorf near the start of the game, but the King Of Evil doesn't see Link as a threat and tosses him into the sea. Only when faced with a fully-powered Master Sword does Ganon show the slightest signs of fear.

Grandma

Link's Grandma is a kind old woman who cares dearly for her two grandchildren. When Aryll is kidnapped and Link sets off to rescue her, Grandma is saddened and becomes sick from worry. Once you are able to return to your homeland, heal her and she will make you a delicious soup that increases your strength, and refills all your hearts.

Great Deku Tree

Living in Forest Haven, the Great Deku Tree is a wise old 'man', who is one of the few left from the times of the old Hyrule. He will gladly give you Farore's Pearl once you have saved his dear forest child, Makar, from the clutches of the Forbidden Woods boss.

Jabun

Jabun is the God of water. He has possesion of Nayru's Pearl, but has fled from his regular home after a damaging attack from Ganondorf. He now resides at the back of your hometown, Outset.

King of Hyrule

The King Of Hyrule, Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule, is the man who once ruled this land before it became swept away by waves. He is the wisest Hylian left, and teaches you much about the lore of the 'Golden Age' of Hyrule. He helps you out for longer than you may originally think...

Komali

Komali is the son of the leader of the Rito Tribe. He is largely considered to be a coward, and it is up to you to inspire him by climbing the mountain towards the angered Valoo. Once you do, he gives you Din's Pearl.

Link

The boy who is destined to save Hyrule. He is a natural with a blade, and can easily adapt to any situation. He is very inventive, often figuring out clever ways to use his items in order to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. All he wanted was his sister back, but Link is in for a longer journey than he bargained for.

Makar

Makar is a young, mischeivous Korok. He gets stuck in the Forbidden Woods and it is up to you to save him. He is the lead Cello player in the Korok ensemble, and they cannot complete their yearly ritual without him. Makar returns later in the game to help you revive the power of the Master Sword.

Medli

Medli is a young caretaker of the Sky Spirit, Valoo. She isn't yet fluent at her job, but she gives it her all. Medli serves more of a purpose than it originally seems, as she is the key to getting through the Earth Temple.

Orca

Orca is an experienced warrior who teaches Link the way of the sword. Orca resides on Outset Island and is always willing to train Link.

Princess Zelda

Zelda is the Princess of Hyrule. She holds a part of the Triforce Of Wisdom, and is only awakened as the Princess once she receives the rest from the King. She is an invalid partner for Link, and even helps him through the toughest fight he will ever face.

Tetra

Tetra is the leader of a band of pirates. She is very bossy and self confident but always gets the job done. She's always willing to help out Link, but there is something that she is hiding from him, what could it be?

The King of Red Lions

The King of Red Lions is your trusty, talking boat. He knows a vast amount of information about Hyrule and always wants to tell you about it. He watches over Link throughout his journey and sails to wherever you need to go.

Some of them are dumb, goofy or funny, or all three. But they are all very loyal to their leader, Tetra and will do anything to keep her safe.

Tingle

This wannabe Fairy is hated by some and hated by others. Tingle is a very annoying and flamboyant character, but he is the only person who can translate ancient maps, but he charges a rather hefty price.

Valoo

Valoo is a huge, fire breathing dragon that that lives on top of Dragon Roost Cave. He watches over the Ritos and all of Dragoon Roost Island. When a Rito reaches adulthood, they will perform a ceremony where they make a climb up to Valoo, there he will grant the Rito the power to fly by giving it one of his scales.
