[edit] The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Making their first appearance in A Link to the Past, the Zora's Flippers are purchased for 500 Rupees from the leader of the River Zoras, Zora at Zora's Waterfall. Granting him the ability to swim, they allow Link to travel through bodies of water and make use of Whirpools. The ability to dive was added in the ported version.

[edit] The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening

A treasure in Link's Awakening, the Zora's Flippers are found in Angler's Tunnel. The use of diving is of greater importance in this title, being used to find entrances hidden underneath the water.

[edit] The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages

The Zora's Flippers are a reward in Oracle of Ages, being acquired by beating the test set by Cheval. The test is held in Cheval's Grave in the Yoll Graveyard.

The flippers can receive a boost in diving ability by having the Zora Ring, which in tandem allows Link to dive for an infinite period of time. The game also features an upgraded version of the flippers called the Mermaid Suit.

[edit] The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons

Like in Ages, in Oracle of Seasons Link must pass a test in order to acquire the flippers. This time, however, the test is conducted by the Master Diver at the Sunken City.

[edit] The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap

Referred to as just Flippers, in The Minish Cap are found in the Hyrule Town Sewers. Searching for a way to enter the Temple of Droplets, Link eventually finds an answer in the Minish Elder called Librari. He is located in the Royal Hyrule Library and can only be reached after successfully returning the three overdue books from across Hyrule Town.

The ability to dive is often necessary to find such things as Small Keys. Link can also increase his swimming speed by fusing a Kinstone with Nayru (oracle). This causes a Joy Butterfly to appear Royal Valley, which when caught will give Link a boosted speed in the water.
