Various tools aid Link throughout his quest, here are the descriptions entailing locations and how to obtain each:

Contents

[edit] Arrows

Arrows.png

  • How to get: Bought from various merchants.
    • What it does: Only usable with the Bow, these can be fired at enemies. Since the arrows are unlimited in carrying quantity, there is a fee of one rupee for every arrow fired.

[edit] Bombs

Bombs.png

  • How to get: Bought from various merchants.
    • What it does: Used to damage most enemies and blow up certain walls in dungeons. Don't get caught by the blast. (to hold more bombs, pay the old man in the dungeons 100 rupees)

[edit] Boomerang

Boom.png

  • How to get: Obtained in the first dungeon.
    • What it does: Used to stun enemies from a distance, weaker enemies (such as a Keese) will die from such an attack where as stronger ones will not be affected (such as an Iron Knuckle). Best used to first stun an enemy followed by using the sword to finish it off.

[edit] Bow

Bow.png

  • How to get: Dungeon item.
    • What it does: Allows you to fire arrows, otherwise your arrows will become dead weight.

[edit] Magic Boomerang

Magboom.png

  • How to get: Dungeon item.
    • What it does: Same deal as the normal Boomerang except this one goes further.

[edit] Magic Shield

Magshi.png

  • How to get: Bought from various merchants.
    • What it does: This is a large shield and thus, protects Link better. It can defend against fireballs that aren't fired from bosses as well.

[edit] Magic Wand

Magwa.png

  • How to get: Dungeon item.
    • What it does: This allows you to use the Wizzrobe attack by casting spells at enemies. Allows for continuous fire and hurts most enemies.

[edit] Magical Sword

Magswo.png

  • How to get: Given to you by the Old Man.
    • What it does: The most powerful sword in the game, it can kill Vires and Zols in a single hit and is four times stronger than the Wooden Sword. As with all the swords, at full health you can fire beams out of the sword.

[edit] Power Bracelet

Powbra.png

  • How to get: Found underneath an Armos on Death Mountain.
    • What it does: This allows you to push trees, creating shortcuts throughout Hyrule.

[edit] Shield

Shield.png

  • How to get: You will have this item when you start the game.
    • What it does: Too small to block some attacks such as energy due to the fact that it doesn't cover all of Link's body. Arrows can be blocked with this shield however.

[edit] Silver Arrow

Silarr.png

  • How to get: Obtained in the final dungeon.
    • What it does: The only item that can finish Ganon off, these are an upgrade for the standard arrows.

[edit] Whistle

Whistle.png

  • How to get: Dungeon item.
    • What it does: This item has several uses. It is the key to defeating the boss Digdogger and it can also summon a tornado that takes you to cleared dungeons. Another use is for it to be played in certain spots; hidden staircases will be opened up. This is a critical use in the game.

[edit] White Sword

Whiswo.png

  • How to get: Found in a cave occupied by an Old Man on Death Mountain.
    • What it does: The second strongest sword in the game, better than the Wooden Sword yet weaker than the Magical Sword. This is the only Zelda game that features this sword, unless you count the cameo in Minish Cap. As with all the swords, at full health you can fire beams out of the sword.

[edit] Wooden Sword

Wooswo.png

  • How to get: When you start the game, there is a cave on the first screen with an Old Man in it. He will give you the sword.
    • What it does: The weakest of the swords, this will be your standard weapon until you purchase/find a better one. As with all the swords, at full health you can fire beams out of the sword.
