Nayru's childhood friend, Ralph sets off on his own journey to save Nayru from the clutches of Veran. While he doesn't get nearly as far as Link and treats him as a competitor almost for a majority of the game, Ralph eventually learns to accept Link and provides him with aid and helpful advice.
