This rude and spoiled Zora is the princess of everyone living in the Zora’s Domain. It is her duty to feed the giant whale, Lord Jabu-Jabu, and on top of this, she is the holder of Nayru’s spiritual stone, the Zora's Sapphire. It is later revealed that she is also one of the six Sages. Princess Ruto obtained the Spirit stone from her mother, and is supposed to give it to the one she wishes to marry, but it was eaten by Lord Jabu-Jabu. When Link recovers the Spiritual Stone from within Lord Jabu-Jabu's belly, Princess Ruto allows him to have it, and she thinks she is married to Link.
