 Ocarina of Time
In The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, Lord Jabu-Jabu resides behind the Zora's Domains in his own private lake. King Zora refers to him as "The Great Jabu-Jabu", and hints to Link that he' been acting a little "green under the gills" lately. Turns out that Lord Jabu-Jabu swallowed a nasty parasite - Barinade - as well as the Zora Princess, Ruto. In order to restore peace to the Zora's and save Ruto, Link must venture into Lord Jabu-Jabu's belly and defeat Barinade. Afterward, he is rewarded by Princess Ruto with the Zora's Sapphire, and proposal for marriage.
When Link returns to the Zora's Domain seven years later, it has completely frozen over. Lord Jabu-Jabu is nowhere to be found, although in his place is a rather large chunk of ice. It's possible that he too was frozen when Ganondorf visited the Zoras.

In The Legend of Zelda Oracle of Ages, Lord Jabu-Jabu resides in the Zora Village. In the past, he's nothing more than a tiny fish. However, in the present he is fully grown.
