Kokiri

The Kokiri are a race of forest children that hold the Kokiri Emerald. They live in the Kokiri Forest, which in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, is also the home of the Great Deku Tree. The Kokiri Forest is Link's home in Ocarina in Time, although it is later revealed that he is actually Hylian, a more 'human' race. The children of Kokiri Forest never grow into adults, however, Link obviously does. It is believed by many that they evolved into Koroks after Hyrule was flooded in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.
