Farore, also known as the Oracle of Secrets, is a character introduced in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages duo, but later reappeared in The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap as one of the sisters at Happy Hearth Inn, along with the oracles Nayru and Din. She is named after Farore, the goddess of courage, who is one of the three creators of Hyrule. Her piece of the Triforce is given to Link.
Farore, also known as the Goddess of Courage, is one of the three creators of the Light World and several other dimensions. She, along with her sisters Nayru and Din formed the land of Hyrule out of chaos, each providing their part in the process. Upon departure, they left the Triforce, the essence of their power, in the Sacred Realm. As the goddess of courage, she is associated with the Triforce of Courage and Link.
With her rich soul, Farore created all the living inhabitants in the world to uphold the law that Nayru gave earlier. She is the master of natural magic, and the spell Farore's Wind is named after her. In The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, the fairy wannabe Tingle claims that Farore is the Goddess of Wind, and it is likely the Deity the Wind Temple is dedicated to. The jewel Farore's Pearl, is believed to be a treasure of the goddess, and is held by the Great Deku Tree.
The oracle Farore is named after the goddess. In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, the province of Hyrule named Faron, Faron Woods, and also the province of Ordona are named in her honor (when the prefixes of Faron and Ordona are combined). Similarly, the Light Spirit Faron and its spring, as well as Ordona with its spring are named after Farore
