The Double Clawshots have appeared in a couple of titles to-date. They are an item very similar to the Hookshot, and are the upgraded version of the Clawshot. Double Clawshots allow you to aim and fire with one and then fire with the other while hanging from the first.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Making their original appearance in Twilight Princess, the Double Clawshots is formed after finding the second Clawshot in the City in the Sky and combining it with the original from Lakebed Temple. They are used for travel and acquiring things from afar, as well as in tandem with the Iron Boots to use Link as a weight. Link can also extend and retract the chains, allowing him to rise/descend while using them for such things as better angles of fire.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
The Double Clawshots make a return in Skyward Sword, but can no longer extend/retract the chains or grab and draw in objects. Having said this, unlike in Twilight Princess Link can use them to grab vines to cross large gaps. They are acquired after the completion of the Silent Realm trial in the Lanayru Desert.
