Barnes is a peculiar Bomb maker who lives and works in Kakariko Village. When you are searching for the Tears of Light in Kakariko Village, you are forced to blow up his storehouse to continue. He can't get enough materials to make bombs until after you save Darbus and clear the path to the Goron Mines. At first, he will only sell regular bombs, but eventually, he will stock water bombs and Bomblings too.
If you whip out your lantern while inside his shop, he will pound his fist and make water pour from the ceiling, extinguishing the flame, no matter where you are. If you do it near to him, he will ask you to put it out, as he doesn't want a repeat of the storehouse incident.
