A Link to the Past Controls

Here are the controls for A Link to the Past's SNES version.

A

• Selects characters/options.

B

• Uses the sword. Hold down the button for two seconds and let go to use a Spin Attack, and, at full health, press to fire beams out of your sword as well.

D-Pad

• Moves around items/options on screens, and controls Link in the game.

---

L

• Switches between close up map and full world map while viewing the world map (press X to view the world map).

---

R

• Switches between close up map and full world map while viewing the world map (press X to view the world map).

---

Select

• Brings up the option of saving and quitting.

---

Start

• Brings up the in-game menu screen, where you can select items and view statistics, and brings it back down when pressed again.

---

X

• Press to bring up/bring down the world map.

---

Y

• Uses whatever weapon you have assigned to the slot. Select the weapon/item by bringing up the in-game menu.
